    Advanced Game Art and Design (AGAD) will require students to utilize their design skills from the Digital Design and Game Art prerequisite courses.  Students will expand their knowledge in game design using 3d tools and will be challenged to work in teams throughout the year to complete large project based assignments. Students will create 3d game tools, 3d game assets, marketing material, creative and technical documents, as well as maintain a professional portfolio to document and reflect on major projects and personal accomplishments throughout the year.

     

    Canvas will be used to conduct work and submit all assignments. The Electronic Game Design Challenge will be the Performance Based Measure (PBM) to display proficiency of the course objectives. Details and rubrics for the PBM are posted in the “Modules” section of our Canvas classroom site.

     

    As per school/department policy, we will record at least 15 grades during each quarter. The course roughly breaks down into 3 categories.


    • Projects and Assignments……..60%
    • Tests and Quizzes…………….…..20%
    • Portfolio and PBM……………..…20%
