Day 7: FBD + N2L

FQ: How can we combine FBD and N2L calculations?

1.  Demo/Examples:  Calculate net force and find acceleration.   See completed examples on right side of ConceptBoard notes

2.  Practice, choose your level: 

EASY: 

   Make a copy of the Net Force and Acceleration Worksheet (Links to an external site.). For each of the problems, find the Net Force acting on each block. Use this Net Force to then calculate the acceleration.

MEDIUM:

   Concept Builder:  Net Force Ranking tasks.  Find net force and use a = F/m to find acceleration.

CHALLENGE: 

   Concept Builder: F=ma problems Fill in all the blanks using what you learned this unit.

3.  Project:  Answer question #7 about calculations using FBD in your sport, with realistic numbers for forces!
