The ninth grade curriculum consists of a mixture of world, American, and British literature. The new Common Core curriculum is skills-based to facilitate a deeper understanding and analysis of author’s choice, figurative language, central idea and development, argument, and perspective. It highlights the skills of citing textual evidence, revising, grammar skills, the writing process, and integrating various effective technologies.
